Have your say on new play equipment

Children are being asked which pieces of new play equipment they would like to have in Burridge play area, in Sarisbury.

The play area is set to be upgraded and parents are being asked to go online and get the younger generation to vote for their favourite pieces of new equipment.

Youngsters are being asked to choose from a small toddler climbing unit, toddler playhouse, see-saw or springies. Families will also be able to give their comments and ideas as to how else they would like to see the play area improved.

Votes can be cast at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations between Monday 26 October to Monday 23 November.

The upgrading of equipment is part of the Council’s five-year improvement plan for play areas across the borough and work is expected to begin in autumn 2021.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Bell, said: “Play is such an important part of every child’s life, which is why I am encouraging children, along with their families, to get involved and tell us what equipment they’d like in the play area to help us improve it for everyone to enjoy.”
