Fareham’s gardens scoop top awards

The results of this year’s South and South East in Bloom awards have been announced this week and it’s good news for Fareham.

The Borough’s parks and gardens were given the following top awards:

There was also success for the Borough’s open spaces:

Britain in Bloom 'It's Your Neighbourhood Awards' have been given to Red Barn Allotments and Burnham Wood, with both receiving a Level 4 - Thriving award.

Executive Member for Streetscene at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Ian Bastable, said: “This is a huge achievement for those who work so hard to keep the Borough looking beautiful, especially in what has been such a challenging year for gardening, due to the pandemic and poor weather. Our gardens and open spaces bring great pleasure to residents and their continued success at the South and South East in Bloom awards demonstrates real horticultural excellence. Well done to the communities, volunteers and the Council’s grounds maintenance teams.”
