FLC - Changing Places

22 October 2021

Fareham Leisure Centres now fully accessible

Fareham Borough Council, in partnership with Everyone Active, is delighted to announce that both Holly Hill Leisure Centre and Fareham Leisure Centre have been registered and accredited by Changing Places in recognition of their fully accessible facilities.

The Changing Places Consortium is a group of organisations working to support the rights of people with profound and multiple learning disabilities and/or other physical disabilities. Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sue Walker said: “I am delighted that Fareham Leisure Centre has now been officially registered with Changing Places, joining Holly Hill Leisure Centre to achieve this certification. It is so important that people with disabilities have access to their community and the ability to use community facilities, so this was a key consideration in the refurbishment of the Leisure Centres.”
