UPOWA purchase business unit at Faraday

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that it has completed the sale of one of its business units at Faraday Business Park, Daedalus, to UPOWA.

UPOWA, formerly known as HBS New Energies, is a market-leading renewable energy services expert with extensive experience in supplying housebuilding, construction, and commercial industries with renewable energy solutions.

UPOWA has taken Unit 14 at Faraday Business Park, measuring 12,842 square feet. This stand-alone unit features a large yard area as well as modern office space and ample parking. It also boasts the highest energy performance rating, solar PV panels and capability for electric vehicle charging, as well as easy access to the M27.

James Bull, Managing Director of UPOWA, said: “Under our new trading name UPOWA, we are preparing for a period of rapid growth, driven by factors such as new building regulations, the UK’s net zero strategy and rising energy costs. We chose to purchase the unit at Faraday Business Park not only for its easy access to the motorway, but also its energy efficient and forward-thinking design. We have an exciting future ahead of us and look forward to helping more customers achieve their zero-carbon goals.”

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Seán Woodward, said: "These new units at Faraday Business Park were part of a multi-million-pound investment programme by Fareham Borough Council, designed to make Daedalus a premier location for businesses. We are delighted to have UPOWA on site, especially as they represent the cutting edge of renewable energy solutions. This can only be a sector destined for astronomical growth and I am sure they will thrive here in Fareham.”
