Press Release

Virtual Fareham in Bloom - voting now open!

Voting in Fareham Borough Council’s virtual Fareham in Bloom community gardening competition is now open!

Residents from all over the Borough have been submitting photographs of their outdoor spaces, big or small, since the competition opened in April, and it’s now time for them to be put to the vote.

You can vote for your favourite by using our online form, which can be found at

You can vote in as many categories as you wish before the voting ends on 29 July 2022. The two entries receiving the highest number of votes in each category will then be visited by our judging panel in August who will decide the winners. The exception to this is the Something Small category, where the winner will be determined on the basis of the photograph and description alone.

Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Councillor Seán Woodward, said:

“The standard of entries in this year’s competition is incredibly high, and it’s clear that green-fingered members of our community have worked hard to create some truly impressive displays. I encourage residents to take a look at the photos and vote for their favourite.”

The winners in each category will be invited to a tea party with the Mayor of Fareham where they will be presented with their certificate and their prize.
