Press Release

7 October 2022

Home visits for annual canvass

Fareham residents who have not yet responded to their annual canvass form will receive a knock at the door from this weekend, as Fareham Borough Council’s team of canvassers start to visit outstanding properties.

The annual canvass takes place every year to allow the Council to keep the electoral register up to date and all households who have received a canvass form must respond, so that everyone who is eligible to vote is registered.

If you have not already responded, the Council team might visit you at home to check your details. All canvassers will be wearing official photographic identification which will be produced when introducing themselves. Each canvasser will also be equipped with a tablet allowing them to quickly confirm or amend householder details in just a few minutes.

Residents can still submit their response via post or online at www.householdresponse.com/fareham. However, you must have your canvass form to hand as the security codes will be required when providing an online response.

Residents with any queries or concerns should call the Council’s elections team on 01329 824588.
