Have your say on Fareham Park leisure and community facilities

Fareham Borough Council is inviting residents to have their say on the project to transform the Fareham Park community and leisure facilities, at an upcoming Community Action Team (CAT) meeting:

This meeting follows a series of workshops with local community groups and services, as well as a public consultation to choose the name ‘Fareham Park’ for the former Fareham North West community and leisure facilities.

The Fareham Park project will look to relocate and enhance the play and recreational facilities on site, include a new, fit-for-purpose community centre, accessible toilets, a replacement pétanque court and car parking.

This CAT meeting provides an opportunity for the local community to help the Council further develop the project and ensure that everyone's needs have been considered.

There will be an exhibition prior to the CAT meeting from 6pm, so visitors can view the ideas so far.  If residents are not able to attend, but would still like to have their say, they can head to the Let’s Talk Fareham Facebook group, or complete this online survey: https://online1.snapsurveys.com/swulha

Cllr Sue Walker, Executive Member for Leisure and Community, said: “Fareham Park has the potential to be a truly regenerative and transformational community project. We have been working hard to ensure as many local people are able to have their say on the project, so I encourage residents to come along to the CAT meeting to discuss the plans to date and give us their thoughts.”
