Press Release

Have your say on Fareham Park play area

Fareham Borough Council is asking for residents’ views on proposed improvements to the play area and the multi-use games area at Fareham Park, Henry Cort Drive.

‘Fareham Park’ is the name chosen for Fareham North-West community and leisure facilities following a series of workshops and a public consultation. The play area improvements form the first phase of the project to transform Fareham Park, and are expected to be completed by Spring 2025.

A public consultation has been launched today so that residents can have their say on the following proposals:

•    Relocation of the play area and multi-use games area to the edge of the Recreation Ground at the southern side of Henry Cort Drive
•    New inclusive play equipment
•    Wider recreational offer, such as accessible gym equipment and trim trail

The consultation will close on 28 May 2024. Residents can give their views by joining the dedicated Facebook consultation group, ‘Let’s Talk Fareham’, where they can comment and interact with posts relating to the consultation: www.fareham.gov.uk/letstalkfareham.

Alternatively, residents can have their say at www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations

The play and recreational facilities element of the Fareham Park Project has received up to £400,000 from the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund. More information about the vision for Fareham Park can be found here: www.fareham.gov.uk/farehampark.
