12 June 2024

The late Alderman Arthur Mandry

It is with great sadness that Fareham Borough Council reports the death of former Mayor and Councillor, Alderman Arthur Mandry, who passed away on 14 May.

Alderman Arthur Mandry was a well-respected Borough Councillor representing the Hill Head ward between 1995-2018, during which time he served as Mayor of Fareham in 2001-2002. Arthur also served as Deputy Leader of the Council between 1999-2001 and again between 2002-2012.

In recognition and acknowledgement of his eminent services to the Council, he was invested to the roll of Honorary Alderman in 2018. A Civic funeral service will take place at Holy Rood Church, Stubbington at 1.30pm on Tuesday 18 June for those who wish to pay their respects.

The family have asked for family flowers only and any donations to be made to Parkinson’s UK at: https://www.dignityfunerals.co.uk/funeral-notices/14-05-2024-arthur-mandry/

Our thoughts and prayers are with Councillor Kay Mandry and all of Alderman Arthur Mandry’s family at this very difficult time.
