Play Day fun set for Holly Hill Woodland Park

Fareham Borough Council’s events continue this summer with a day out for the family at Holly Hill Woodland Park.

Taking place on Wednesday 14 August, Play Day will host over six woodland-themed activities suitable for children aged 11 years or under, including den building, and arts and crafts, such as animal bookmarks, bird feeders and leaf crowns.

Families are encouraged to bring a picnic while enjoying a day in the woods. Children can look for the special golden stars that will be hidden around the event space to be in with a chance of winning a prize, and by completing an activity stamp card they have a chance of winning a year’s family membership with Everyone Active.

Tickets for timed entry slots are available now, costing £2.50 per child aged three to 11 years, while tickets for children aged two years or under are free. Adults also attend free of charge. Tickets must be purchased in advance of the event and cannot be booked on the day. Please note that children must be supervised at all times.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said:

“Holly Hill is a wonderful setting for families to enjoy a variety of woodland activities on Play Day. Remember to book your tickets in advance and bring your picnic along on the day.”

This event is being supported by the Countryside Ranger Service, Hampshire Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust, Bird Aware Solent and Hampshire Healthy Families as well as volunteers from Insensys.
