Let’s Talk Tenant Engagement

Fareham Borough Council is encouraging Council Housing tenants to have their say on its Draft Tenant Engagement Strategy, and be in with the chance of winning a £50 shopping voucher, by taking part in a consultation launched today.

There are currently around 4,200 affordable homes in Fareham, of which Fareham Borough Council manages nearly 60%. The Council needs feedback and engagement from its tenants to ensure it is able to continue delivering high quality services, while adhering to the changes in housing regulations and the new consumer standards.

The Council’s Draft Tenant Engagement Strategy sets out its approach to improving how it listens to and works with its tenants. It contains key objectives and continuous improvement plans, which will continue developing over time to ensure it reflects the views of Fareham Housing tenants.

The consultation will run until 20 August 2024 and tenants can review the draft strategy and have their say through a short consultation survey here:

All those that take part in the consultation will be entered into a prize draw to win a £50 One4all shopping voucher.

Executive Member for Housing at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Fred Birkett, said: “At Fareham Borough Council, we pride ourselves on putting our customers at the heart of everything we do. Our Tenant Engagement Strategy will ensure that we are meeting the needs of existing and future tenants by encouraging those with living experience of our service delivery to work with us and share their views. I encourage our tenants to take part in this consultation to ensure they have their say.”
