A Wave of Thanks unveiled at glittering event at Fareham Live

A glittering gala event was held at Fareham Live yesterday evening to thank all the individuals and businesses that have sponsored the stunning ‘A Wave of Thanks’ artwork for the foyer.

A Wave of Thanks, is made up of coloured bars, inscribed with the names of each sponsor to create a 'sound wave' design. This depicts the audio and visual spectacle the theatre provides and will remain in place for the life of the venue.

Sponsors and their guests were treated to a gala dinner following the official unveiling of the Wave of Thanks, by the Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Pal Hayre. The guests were able to have a preview of the venue, ahead of the first organised shows from 28 September.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Connie Hockley, said: “The A Wave of Thanks gala event was a fantastic evening to thank all of our founding sponsors of this magnificent venue. The artwork itself is really beautiful and the fact that it has been sponsored by individuals and businesses who are from, or are invested in Fareham, makes it truly special.”

Sponsors have all been added to a special ‘Roll of Honour’ on the Council’s website at www.fareham.gov.uk/waveofthanks.
