Press Release

30 October 2024

Come along to the Fareham Park Community Stroll

Fareham Borough Council will be inviting residents to take part in its Fareham Park Community Stroll on Saturday 9 November 2024.

An Engagement team will be stationed on Fareham Park Recreation Ground next to Henry Cort Drive from 11am. The Council invites residents to join an informal walk around the Fareham Park project site to understand what facilities will be provided as part of the project and where these will be located.

Fareham Borough Council are delivering a programme of improvements to transform the community and leisure facilities next to Henry Cort Drive. Work is already underway to relocate and enhance the play and recreational facilities on site with further improvements to include a new, fit-for-purpose community centre, accessible toilets, a replacement pétanque court and car parking.

Following the walk free cake and refreshments will be provided at Fareham Hockey Club, where there will be further opportunity to discuss the project.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley, said: “The Fareham Park Community Stroll provides an opportunity for the local residents to see the progress being made with the project and ask any questions. I know this project is really important to the community and getting local people involved at every stage is key to ensure that the plans continue to meet their needs.’’
