Press Release

Let's Talk Play Area Improvements!

Fareham Borough Council is looking for resident feedback on improvement plans for three play areas across the Borough.

The upgrades are part of a five-year programme of improvements to a number of play areas in the Borough which commenced in 2023. A community consultation is now open for residents to provide feedback on the suggested improvements to the following three play areas:

Some new equipment could be installed at the play areas, and where necessary, some existing equipment will be repainted, and surfaces repaired.

The consultations will run until Friday 28 March 2025. Residents can view all of the details and have their say on the proposals here: www.fareham.gov.uk/consultations. Comments are welcome on all three play areas, and there is a separate survey for each.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Connie Hockley, said: “It is important to health and wellbeing for children to have quality outdoor playtime. I encourage parents, children and any interested parties to give their views on the proposed improvements, to ensure we have play areas across the Borough that meet the needs of our children.”
