Have your say on Antisocial Behaviour

This Antisocial Behaviour Week (30 June – 4 July), Fareham Borough Council will be holding a series of pop-up events throughout the Borough to engage with residents on the topic of antisocial behaviour (ASB) in the local community.

In the last year, the Council has adopted a new Anti-Social Behaviour Policy which sets out how the Community Safety Team and Housing Team will approach tackling ASB. This new series of events provides an opportunity to actively engage with more members of the local community to gather further feedback and highlight the Council’s work to reduce ASB in Fareham.

Council officers, working alongside local police, will be at the following locations throughout the ASB Week:

Monday 30 June

Tuesday 1 July

Wednesday 2 July

Thursday 3 July

Friday 4 July

Executive Member for Health and Public Protection, Cllr Joanne Burton said: “I am delighted that Council officers and the local police will be on hand this Antisocial Behaviour Week to talk to Fareham residents about the things that concern them. Together we can support local communities in taking a stand against ASB, signpost individuals to information that can help them and encouraging people to report incidents. I would encourage anyone with any concerns or something to share to come along to one of the pop-up events to have their say.”

Cllr Fred Birkett, Executive Member for Housing, added: “These pop-up events have been organised following feedback from Council housing tenants and provide an opportunity to for us to highlight how we acted on their comments to develop a new approach to ASB in the wider community. I would urge local tenants to come along to ensure we are able to capture a wider range of views and enable us to reduce ASB in our communities even further.”
