The countdown to Fareham’s Big Weekend is on!

The countdown to ‘Fareham’s Big Weekend’ is now on!

Taking place in just a few weekends’ time - from 10am-6pm on Saturday 12 July, and from 10am-4pm on Sunday 13 July - this exciting, family-friendly, low-cost, two-day community event, will be taking place across multiple locations in and around Fareham Town Centre.

The weekend has been organised by Fareham Borough Council but there are so many partners, businesses, charities and locations offering promotions and activities that we cannot mention them all. To give visitors an idea of what is on offer, a programme has been created to showcase as many of the activities as possible, as well as their times and locations. There will be limited hard copies of these programmes available on the day at selected locations, but visitors can also download it here: www.fareham.gov.uk/bigweekendtimetable

A number of West Street businesses will be offering special promotions over the weekend and local partners such as Fareham Leisure Centre, Fareham Shopping Centre, Fareham Library, Fareham and Crofton Cricket Club, Fareham Live, Y-Services and The Makers’ House are all putting on a wide range of activities for all the family.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Connie Hockley said: “I am amazed to see the sheer scale of what has been organised for Fareham’s Big Weekend. It’s a testament to the community spirit in Fareham that so many local businesses and organisations have come together to offer activities, food and drink, entertainment and fun for visitors of all ages, much of which will be free or at very low cost. This event will not only be an incredible experience for all but will really showcase what Fareham town centre has to offer, and I for one can’t wait!”
