Press Release

Join a masterclass on 14 January and help shape Fareham’s new place brand

As part of our ongoing Town Centre Regeneration programme, Fareham Borough Council is working with CTConsults and Hemingway Design to develop a new place brand for Fareham Town Centre. The expert consultants will host two interactive masterclasses at Lysses House Hotel on Wednesday 14 January from 3:00pm-5:00pm and 6:00pm-8:00pm.  Residents, businesses and partners are all invited to book their place as soon as possible; numbers are limited for each session and tickets will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

Drawing on case studies from across the UK, the masterclasses are designed to capture local perspectives and help participants develop a shared understanding of place branding — what it is, what it isn’t - and the benefits it can bring. Building on work already undertaken with the Council, CTConsults will guide discussions, challenge assumptions and test ideas about Fareham.

Councillor Simon Martin, Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, said: “Part of the branding work involves really getting into the detail and understand what Fareham means to the individuals that use it.   By bringing residents, businesses and partners together, our consultants will get a real breadth of views, enabling them to shape a clear, shared place brand, that people recognise.  With a clear brand going forward, we will better tell Fareham’s story, attract investment and visitors, and support a vibrant, thriving town centre. I encourage everyone with an interest in Fareham to book their place on the masterclass and help us define what Fareham means — and how we’ll express that identity going forward.”

Please note, these masterclasses must be booked in advance and are not drop-in sessions.

Reserve your space via: Fareham Place Branding Masterclass or go online and enter https://shorturl.at/RFX7Y.
If you have any questions or need to cancel your place, please email amy@ctconsults.com.

Fareham Town Centre branding forms part of a key project set out in Priority Four of the Council’s Corporate Strategy: promote economic development.
