Reimaging Fareham Town Centre - Have your say on town centre regeneration plans

Fareham residents are invited to get involved in shaping the future of their town centre as the Council unveils the latest regeneration proposals.

Two public exhibitions will be held in the former Clarks store at Fareham Shopping Centre, offering residents the chance to explore the plans and share their views.

The two events will run from 4pm-7pm on Thursday 12 March and 10am-3pm on Saturday 14 March. A Fareham town centre special edition of Fareham Today will also be available at the events and residents can view this online at www.fareham.gov.uk/farehamtoday.

These public consultation events are the latest in an extensive programme of work which has already taken place to shape town centre proposals that are both ambitious and deliverable. Working with both residents and businesses, the Council developed a £125 million Town Centre Masterplan for a busier and greener town centre that is easier to move around and feels safe, welcoming and loved.

These events give the Fareham community the opportunity to see the proposals and share their views as the plans develop, ahead of the submission of an outline planning application.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Simon Martin, said: “At the heart our masterplan for Fareham town centre is a commitment to both protect and enhance local services. We aim to retain key facilities while investing in modern, flexible spaces that support community life now and into the future. I encourage Fareham residents to come along on one of the public consultation events and have their say on how we can shape a bold and positive future for Fareham town centre.”
