Fareham’s Big Weekend returns this year

Fareham Borough Council is pleased to announce that, following its success last year, Fareham’s Big Weekend will return in July this year.

This family-friendly, low-cost, two-day event will be taking place over the weekend of Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 July, spanning multiple locations in and around Fareham Town Centre, including Bath Lane Recreation Ground, Fareham Leisure Centre, Fareham Live, Fareham Shopping Centre, West Street and the Civic Garden area.

Partner organisations from across Fareham will come together to deliver a packed programme celebrating the town’s community, culture and leisure offer. From 10am to 4pm on both days, residents and visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of free and low cost activities, including:

In addition, Community First’s Community Showcase on Saturday will feature a variety of community stalls, entertainment and activities at Bath Lane Recreation Ground, while Sunday will see a fun dog show and activities hosted by Fareham Doggy Daycare at the same location.

More information and full event listings will be added as plans are confirmed at: www.fareham.gov.uk/bigweekend.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Connie Hockley, said:

“I am delighted that Fareham’s Big Weekend is returning this year. This will be a fantastic weekend for our whole community and a great opportunity to showcase everything that Fareham has to offer.”
