Residents invited to choose designs for Stubbington and Wicor Skateparks

Fareham Borough Council is inviting residents to have their say on proposed improvements to Stubbington and Wicor Skateparks.

The community can review and choose between two design options for each site, helping shape modern, inclusive facilities for local users. The designs have been developed by Bendcrete, a specialist skatepark design company that works with councils and local skate communities to create spaces that balance creativity, functionality, and long-term sustainability.

The proposals build on feedback gathered during a public consultation in Autumn 2025, ensuring local views continue to inform the final designs.

Residents can view the plans and select their preferred options via an online survey or by requesting paper copies. As a thank you, participants can enter a prize draw to win a £50 Bored of Southsea voucher.

The Council will also host two pop-up consultation events during May half term, giving residents the opportunity to see the designs in person, share feedback, and enjoy a range of activities:

Two pop-up events will also take place during May half term:

At both events, attendees will be able to explore the proposed designs, choose their preferred option, and speak with representatives involved in the project. The events will also feature a fun activity, and the Council team will be joined by Gosport-based street artist Thirteen Eight. Thirteen Eight will showcase ideas for potential artwork at the skatepark and talk to visitors about mixed media art and how creative elements can enhance community spaces.

Feedback gathered during the consultation will be used to inform the final designs before any improvements are progressed.

For more information and to take part in the consultation from 15 May, please visit the website: https://lets-talk.fareham.gov.uk/. Residents wishing to request paper copies can contact the Council by calling 01329 236100.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Burgess, said:

“I am delighted to invite residents to have their say on the future of skateparks at Stubbington and Wicor. These proposals are an exciting opportunity to create modern, inclusive spaces for our communities to enjoy. By taking part in the consultation, residents can help shape facilities that reflect the needs and ideas of local people.”

Improving Stubbington and Wicor Skateparks is a key project set out in Priority Five of the Council’s Corporate Strategy: leisure opportunities for wellbeing and fun.
