Fareham Live to host inspirational Ukrainian Choir performance

Residents are reminded that a powerful and moving musical event is coming to Fareham Live on Wednesday 17 June 2026, as part of Refugee Week from 15 to 21 June.

Fareham Borough Council is pleased to be working with Fareham Live to welcome the Two Colours Ukrainian Choir, a group formed by Ukrainian women who sought refuge in Hampshire following the conflict in their homeland.

The concert, titled “The Courage of Two Colours”, will feature a beautiful programme of songs in both Ukrainian and English, blending traditional and contemporary music to celebrate the richness of Ukrainian culture.

As well as the music, the evening will also feature beautiful images of Ukraine, offering a poignant insight into the country’s heritage alongside the devastating effects of the ongoing war, creating a deeply moving and immersive experience for audiences.

The choir members, who have been learning English at Havant & South Downs College, have come together through a shared love of singing. Their performance is a powerful reflection of resilience, unity and community spirit.
