Play Day to return to Holly Hill Woodland Park this summer

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that its ever-popular Play Day event will be taking place at Holly Hill Woodland Park on Wednesday 12 August 2026.

A firm favourite during the summer holidays, this family-friendly event will run from 11am to 3.30pm, with timed entry slots designed to help visitors make the most of their experience.

Play Day offers a fun-filled opportunity for families to enjoy the great outdoors together, with a wide range of woodland-themed activities for children aged 11 and under. Activities will include den building, crazy cress heads, stone bugs, and more, encouraging children to explore nature through play.

Families are invited to bring along a picnic and relax in the beautiful surroundings of Holly Hill Woodland Park while children take part in activities and enjoy a day in the woods.

Ticket cost £3 per child aged 3–11 years, with free entry for adults and children aged two and under. Visitors are able to choose from a selection of timed entry slots.

Tickets must be booked in advance of the event and cannot be purchased on the day. Please note that children must be supervised at all times. Due to the event taking place within a woodland, the ground can be uneven in places so sensible shoes and outdoor clothing are advised.

Councillor Frair Burgess, Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, said:

“Play Day is always a highlight of the summer holidays and a fantastic way for families to spend time together outdoors. Holly Hill Woodland Park provides the perfect setting for children to explore, learn and have fun through nature-based activities, and we’re looking forward to welcoming everyone for another great day.”
