Former Councillor Tiffany Harper recognised as Honorary Alderman

Fareham Borough Council has resolved to admit former Councillor Tiffany Harper to the Roll of Honorary Alderman in recognition of her distinguished service.  

At a special meeting held on Thursday 11 June 2026, members formally acknowledged Councillor Harper’s 18 years of dedicated public service to the borough of Fareham between 2008 and 2026.

Tiffany Harper represented Titchfield ward throughout her time on the Council, working with local organisations and residents to support the wellbeing of the community.  She held a number of key leadership roles, including Executive Member for Streetscene (2015–2018), Chairman of the Streetscene PDR Panel, Audit and Governance Committee, and Streetscene Scrutiny Panel, as well as several Vice-Chairmanships across scrutiny and governance bodies.

Councillor Simon Martin, Leader of Fareham Borough Council, said:

“Tiffany has given nearly two decades of dedicated service to Fareham Borough Council and to the residents of Titchfield. Her commitment, knowledge and leadership across a wide range of services have made a lasting contribution to the Borough.  This recognition as an Honorary Alderman is richly deserved and reflects the high regard in which she is held by colleagues and the community alike.”

The title of Honorary Alderman is the highest civic honour that a council can award to former councillors.  A list of Honorary Aldermen is available on the Council’s website www.fareham.gov.uk/honoraryaldermen.
