Find out more about Later Living at the Downing Court Open Day!

Fareham Housing is inviting local people to come and visit one of its Later Living schemes for the over 55s, Downing Court, in the latest in its series of open days.

On Friday 18 September from 10am-1pm, Downing Court will be opening its doors to the public to showcase what Later Living accommodation has to offer.

What you can expect on the day:

Fareham Housing provides high-quality, older persons social housing accommodation, with onsite support for those who may need it. The purpose of the schemes is to enable tenants aged over 55 to maintain their independence and sense of community in secure, well-designed accommodation. While each Later Living scheme is unique, coming along to an open day can give interested parties an idea of what is available.

Executive Members for Housing at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Fred Birkett, said: “These open days have been really successful so far, as they encourage those interested in Later Living to come and see what we have to offer. I’ve seen how Later Living schemes can greatly improve the quality of life of our residents by promoting better physical and mental wellbeing, reducing social isolation, and creating more inclusive communities. I am delighted that Downing Court will be next in the schedule, and encourage anyone interested to come along.”

Later Living eligibility criteria can be found using the Fareham Borough Council Allocations Policy. Residents can also email one of the Council’s Housing Assessment and Allocations Officers at housingoptionsvm@fareham.gov.uk or by calling 01329 236100.
