Live Love Local Fareham relaunched with new events and business directory

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce the relaunch of its Live Love Local Fareham website, offering a one-stop shop for local events, news, independent businesses, crafters and makers.

The refreshed website celebrates the communities that make up Fareham, showcasing businesses, experiences and events from across the Borough, including Portchester, Warsash and Stubbington to Park Gate, Titchfield, Locks Heath, Sarisbury and Fareham town centre.

A key feature of the new-look site is a free events calendar, which anyone can use to promote community events.  From major events and new experiences in Fareham town centre to village fairs, waterfront activities, open days and local attractions, the calendar brings together what’s happening throughout the area in one place.

The site also features a new business directory, organised by business type and including a dedicated category for local crafters and makers, something that did not previously exist for Fareham.

A dedicated news section provides another way for local businesses, organisations and community groups to share what is happening, with news and updates welcomed for potential inclusion on the site.

Live Love Local also complements the Council’s wider programme to regenerate Fareham town centre, supporting local businesses and encouraging residents and visitors to discover more of what both the town centre and surrounding communities have to offer.

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Simon Martin, said:

“We first launched Live Love Local in 2021 to support Fareham’s diverse range of independent shops and food and drink businesses during and following the Covid pandemic.

“The campaign was incredibly successful and so well received by residents and local traders that we have continued to develop it, this time broadening its focus to promote event, independent businesses and our talented local crafters and makers.

"The new-look site brings together the very best of what’s happening throughout the Borough. Whether you're looking for a local event, an independent retailer, somewhere new to visit or a community activity to get involved in, Live Love Local Fareham will help people discover what's on their doorstep.

“It also supports our ambitions for Fareham town centre as its regeneration continues, while providing a platform for businesses and communities throughout the Borough to reach new audiences.

“We want Live Love Local Fareham to become the go-to place for local information, helping to people to shop local, visit local and get involved locally."

The site will continue to grow, and the Council is inviting local business owners, crafters, makers and event organisers from across the Borough to get involved by submitting a business listing, adding upcoming events, sharing special offers and sending in their latest news.
