Planning approval for new Fareham Park Community Centre

Fareham Borough Council is pleased to announce that planning approval has been granted for the delivery of the highly anticipated Fareham Park Community Centre.

The new community centre has been thoughtfully designed to better meet the needs of local people by Neilcott Construction Ltd, in collaboration with community groups and local residents, and works will be commencing before the end of the year.

The new design will provide a centre around four times larger than the current building, and will offer a range of flexible, accessible spaces that can support community activities and services.

The new community centre will feature:

Councillor Frair Burgess, Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, said: “I am delighted that this planning application has been approved. The existing community centre at Fareham Park is the smallest in the Borough and no longer meets the community’s needs. The new centre will provide modern, flexible spaces to help strengthen community connections and improve opportunities for residents. I am looking forward to seeing how the works progress in the coming months and, of course, the finished transformation."

The new Fareham Park Community Centre will be run by a Community Association made up of representatives from various local organisations and services, as well as community representatives.
