Nominations open for Fareham’s Citizen of Honour Awards

Fareham Borough Council’s Citizen of Honour and Young Citizen of Honour Awards 2027 are now open for residents to make their nominations.

The awards are run each year to recognise and celebrate Fareham residents who have demonstrated courage in the face of adversity or who have made a significant positive impact on the lives of others within the local community.

Residents of the borough can be nominated in one of two categories:

Nominations are open until 31 January 2027, and nominees must be residents of the borough. Individuals who have previously received an award may be nominated again, provided the new nomination relates to a different achievement or contribution.

There will be one winner in each category, who will each receive:

Executive Leader of Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Simon Martin, said:

"The Citizen of Honour Awards recognise the exceptional individuals who make a positive and lasting impact within our communities. Each year, we receive inspiring nominations highlighting residents who have shown resilience, compassion and selflessness. I encourage anyone who knows a deserving individual to submit a nomination and help us celebrate the very best of Fareham."
