Making Park Lane Better

Fareham Borough Council has started an exciting project to improve the leisure facilities and outdoor space at Park Lane Recreation Ground, Fareham.

These improvements include:

• A new children's play area
• A new and improved skate park
• Outdoor gym equipment
• An all –weather multi-sports area
• A woodland walk
• An arboretum with rare and unusual trees
• Wild flower meadow and Community Orchard
• Improved park entrances, paths and seating

Phase one of the project, which included a new skate park, children's play area and outdoor gym area is complete! The tennis courts that were located at Leigh Road have been converted into a car park. The courts on Colenso Road remain in situ. These have been refurbished and are managed by Everyone Active.

Phase two of the project is subject to funding.
