Stubbington Bypass
Hampshire County Council submitted a planning application in 2015 for:
- The construction of a new road linking Titchfield Road to Gosport Road
- Improvement works to Titchfield Road and Gosport Road
- New or improved junctions at Titchfield Gyratory, Bridge Street, Peel Common Roundabout & Peak Lane at Titchfield Road/Gosport Road
Application update 21 October 2018
Hampshire County Council's Regulatory Committee met on the 21 October and approved the Stubbington Bypass Application.
Application update 26 November 2018
The Public Inquiry into the Stubbington Bypass Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) and Side Roads Order (SRO) was held on the 26 and 27 November at the Solent Hotel & Spa, Rookery Avenue, Whiteley.
Application update 23 May 2019
On the 20th May 2019 the Secretary of State for Transport (SoS) confirmed the Inspector's recommendation for the outcome of the Public Inquiry held at the end of November 2018 into objections raised to the Compulsory Purchase Order (CPO) and Side Road Order (SRO) for the Stubbington Bypass. This decision confirms the Orders which are subject to minor word amendments so the next step in this process is to publish the final Orders. The announcement by the SoS enables the County Council to progress the delivery of this scheme.
