Town Centre Events

Events in the town centre are key to successful regeneration. Public spaces only succeed if people use them. 

Since launching the Town Centre Regeneration Strategy, the Council has introduced a number of new events to support the ongoing programme of activity.

In 2025, Fareham's Big Weekend was introduced to highlight the wide range of activities within walking distance of the town centre.  Attracting between 15,000 to 20,000 people, the event was repeated in 2026 and is now a key part of the events calendar.

New for 2026, Tunes in the Garden will take place in the Civic Gardens, between Fareham Live and the shopping centre entrance, on Thursdays throughout August. Featuring a different local artist and genre each week, this new community event is free to attend.
