Local businesses sponsor Fareham’s Nutcracker Christmas

Fareham Borough Council is pleased to announce that it is once again working with local businesses to make this year’s Christmas Lights Switch On event a spectacle to behold.

Events on the size and scale of the Council’s ‘Nutcracker Christmas’ rely on sponsors to help fund different elements of the day’s festivities. National estate agents with local links, The Agency UK, has made it possible for Street Entertainers to delight the crowds throughout the day.

M Coghlan funeral directors have sponsored an impressive Christmas tree to be located outside Westbury Manor Museum and Fareham Shopping Centre have sponsored a Nutcracker Trail for children to take part in following the event on the run up to Christmas.

The day’s events are once again supporting the ‘Live Love Local’ message, encouraging people to shop local and help support Fareham’s range of unique and independent businesses.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Cllr Sue Walker, said: “I would like to take this opportunity to thank The Agency UK, as well as M Coghlan and Fareham Shopping Centre for their sponsorship this year. These sponsorships allow us to create an event which is truly not to be missed. Our Nutcracker Christmas will be no exception thanks to these kind sponsors and we expect is to attract thousands of Fareham residents once again.”

Bringing the community together, particularly at such a special time of year is so important.
