Play Day set to return to Holly Hill Woodland Park

Fareham Borough Council is delighted to confirm that its ever-popular Play Day event will return to Holly Hill Woodland Park on Wednesday 13 August.

An occasion for families to enjoy during the summer holidays, this fun-filled day will offer more than six woodland-themed activities suitable for children aged 11 years or under.

As well as taking part in den-building, arts and crafts and much more, children can complete an activity stamp card for the chance to win a year’s family membership with Everyone Active. Families are invited to bring a picnic along for this enjoyable day in a wonderful woodland setting.

Early bird tickets for timed entry slots are available now until 1 June, costing £2.50 per child aged three to 11 years, while adult tickets are free of charge. Children aged two years or under are also entitled to free tickets. From 2 June, the price of tickets will revert to the standard cost of £3.

Tickets must be booked in advance of the event and cannot be purchased on the day. Please note that children must be supervised at all times.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community, Councillor Connie Hockley, said: “Play Day offers wonderful activities for children to take part in while enjoying the beautiful surroundings of Holly Hill Woodland Park. Remember to book your tickets early, bring your picnic along on the day and make the most of this exciting event.”

This event is being supported by the Countryside Ranger Service and local wildlife organisations. To find out more and to book tickets, please visit www.fareham.gov.uk/playday.
