Supplementary Planning Documents (SPDs) provide more detailed guidance on a specific policy or issue set out in the Local Plan, in order to provide further clarity on how that policy should be implemented and assist applicants in making successful applications.
SPDs are non-statutory documents which are subject to public consultation, but which are not subject to independent examination and are 'material considerations' for the decision maker in determining a planning application.

Fareham Borough Council is consulting on its Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document (SPD) and is inviting comments over a six-week period from Friday 17th March – Monday 1st May 2023.

In accordance with the Environmental Assessment of Plans and Programmes Regulations 2004 (SEA Regulations), a screening assessment was prepared to determine whether the proposed SPD should be subject to a Strategic Environmental Assessment. The Screening Assessment can be found here:

Representations on the Planning Obligations Supplementary Planning Document must be made by 11:59pm on the 1st May 2023 via post or email.
Comments can be submitted by emailing email@example.com and will be accepted if sent before the closing date. You will receive confirmation that your comments have been received.
