The Platinum Copse

Due to the popularity and high demand for The Queen's Copse tree planting scheme, a second area was identified to provide even more residents, community groups, organisations, clubs and businesses with the opportunity to sponsor a commemorative tree.

A further 80 trees were made available in 'The Platinum Copse' which are situated in the south of the Abbey Meadows site. This site will provide a second area of protected wildlife habitat to encourage biodiversity.

There is still space available at The Platinum Copse if you would like to sponsor a tree. This will be planted in the next planting season later in 2023. Please contact leisure@fareham.gov.uk if you are interested in sponsoring a tree.

What happens next if I have sponsored a tree?

Thank you to those that have sponsored a tree. You should have now received your certificate in the post.  A list of names, your tree number and a map can be found on the Roll of Honour.

Open Day

An annual open day will take place each year where the gates will be unlocked for the day to give you an opportunity to vist your tree up close.

The next open day will take place on Saturday 14 June 2025.

We kindly ask that flowers, photos/images and other items are not left by the tree.

For more information, please contact the Leisure Team on 01329 236100 or email platinumcopse@fareham.gov.uk.
