One refuse bin is emptied from every house. The bin should be big enough for most households, if the recycling bin is used for all materials that are accepted for recycling.
An additional refuse bin is permitted only to large households or those with exceptional circumstances, and who are recycling effectively. There is an application form, and a £30 charge for the bin. The Council limits extra green top refuse bins in order to encourage recycling.
There is more information available about what to recycle. Additional blue top recycling bins are available at no charge.
If you would like an additional recycling bin, or to apply for an additional refuse bin, please contact us.
