The Mayor of Fareham, Councillor Mrs Susan Bayford will be holding a variety of fundraising events in support of their charities and would be delighted if you are able to support the events listed.
In 2013, aged 8 years and 10 months Abby was diagnosed with Ewings Sarcoma, a rare type of bone cancer.
During her fight, Abby underwent 23 rounds of chemotherapy, 50 days of radiotherapy, stem cell harvestry, scans, surgery and many other invasive procedures. After a period of remission, Abby's cancer returned and she lost her battle for life on 29 May 2016.
The aim of Abby's Heroes charity is to help and support children and their families, including bereaved families, who come under the care of the Piam Brown Ward at Southampton General Hospital. The charity also supports the Teenage and Young Adults Ward. This means that children and young people from the age of 0 to 24 who come from across the south, are supported by this wonderful charity.
