Ongoing and upcoming projects 

The key town centre projects we are focusing on for 2026 include: People under the Fareham town centre bandstand

West Street Play Area and disused water fountain improvements  

Improvements will begin on the West Street play area, as well as the public realm. The disused water fountain space will be utilised, and we will see new and improved seating as well as more greenery and planters. 

Creating a Place Brand for Fareham Town Centre  

The Fareham Place Brand has completed the research and engagement stage, this was undertaken in 2025. It will now focus on developing the place brand filter and values that will be taken from the information gathered in Phase 1. 

Launching an Active Travel ProjectActive Travel England logo

An Active Travel England funded project, that will look to identify barriers to active travel into the town centre, create behaviour change and promote active travel as a beneficial method of getting to the town centre. 

Bringing new initiatives to the Town Centre 

We are focusing on introducing new town centre events, alongside the current headline events. As well as one off/ pop-up initiatives to create a more diverse offer in the town centre. 

Growing our relationship with town centre business  

Town Centre Businesses play a vital role in the regeneration of the town centre. We will continue to host engagement events with businesses to ensure their views are heard.
