Help shape the future of Fareham Town Centre

We are consulting on the emerging masterplan for Fareham Town Centre.

This marks the next stage in delivering Fareham Borough Council's Town Centre Regeneration Strategy (2025–2035), which has been shaped by the views of local people, businesses and community groups.

Over the past year, we have been developing an outline masterplan for the shopping centre and surrounding area. The emerging masterplan focusses on creating a more dynamic and attractive environment that draws more people into the town centre.

You can view the emerging masterplan in person and speak with the project team at one of our drop-in consultation events:

Background

In February 2025, we published the Fareham Town Centre Regeneration Strategy PDF (7 MB) - a bold 10-year plan that sets out a clear and ambitious vision for the future of our town.

The strategy has been shaped by the voices of our community. We've listened to residents, businesses, workers and visitors and considered the changing ways people shop and use town centres today.

Can't attend the events?

If you cannot attend our events, all of the information that will be displayed at the event will be available on this page after the consultation events on Friday 21st November.

An online feedback form will be available online and the consultation will remain live until Monday 15th December.

Our Vision 

Fareham town centre will be a destination of choice with a diverse retail offer, public services and an array of leisure, entertainment, and events for everyone.

Our aspirations for the town

We would like to have more homes in the town centre as well as ensuring any changes in the town centre offering of shops, services and entertainment will better serve our community's changing needs. We also want to create more interesting and high-quality outdoor public spaces and vibrant uses during the day and evening.

Our approach to regeneration

The Council is committed to delivering transformational change in the town by using its own assets, attracting significant inward investment, and partnering with businesses, public sector partners and residents to create a vibrant place for people to visit, live, work and play.
