Universal Credit, Housing Benefit and Council Tax Support
If you pay rent or council tax for your home and live on a low income (even if you are in full-time work or self-employed), you may be entitled to some help by claiming one or more of the above benefits. If you are of working age and NOT in temporary or supported accommodation and need help towards your rent you will need to claim Universal Credit.
The Benefits team operates a drop-in service at Fareham's Civic Offices, allowing residents to speak with an officer without the need for a prior appointment. Officers are available Monday to Friday between 10:00 and 15:00. Should you require assistance outside of these hours, appointments can be arranged upon request.
