The government unveils new "Energy Bills Discount Scheme" for businesses
A new energy scheme for businesses, charities, and the public sector was confirmed yesterday (9th January), ahead of the current scheme ending in March. The new scheme will mean all eligible UK businesses and other non-domestic energy users will receive a discount on high energy bills until 31st March 2024. This will help businesses locked into contracts signed before recent substantial falls in the wholesale price manage their costs and provide others with reassurance against the risk of prices rising again. The Solent LEP are hosting a business support clinic at Fareham Innovation Centre , in partnership with Fareham Borough Council, between 10am-4pm on Thursday 19th January. Are you looking for support to grow your business, or to help you overcome the challenges you face? We can offer practical advice, provide useful resources and connect you to local and national services who can offer specialist services in a range of areas. Fareham Leisure Centre is hosting the first Fareham Business Expo for local businesses looking to raise their profile in the area. DFS Composites welcomed to Daedalus
Fareham Borough Council is delighted to announce that DFS Composites , a global supplier of blade tooling solutions for the wind power industry, will be moving into Faraday Business Park at Daedalus. Feras Yosef, Founder of DFS Composites, said: "DFS Composites was founded in 2015 and we have evolved into a team of more than a dozen strong, servicing production lines across five different continents. The unit space at Faraday was ideal to house our business with its easy access to road, air and sea. Talisman pub opens doors to home workers
The Talisman pub is welcoming homeworkers to come and work from their newly refurbished premises in Park Gate. The stylish, cosy establishment is encouraging people to bring their laptops to either work alone or meet with colleagues in warmth, comfort and the company of others. So, come along and make use of the free WiFi, heating and electricity (there are plenty of charging points) from 10am each day, check out the results of the recent £1.3m refurbishment, and savour the wide selection of hot and cold drinks and food menus (you can even bring your canine companions)!
The Cave Studios
The Cave Studios is an energetic new business on West Street in the heart of Fareham. They offer artist development to new and established musicians as well as confidence building, photography, music videos, performance coaching, songwriting and track recording. All of their services are available for anyone regardless of their abilities - it is all about inclusivity and creativity. They are enjoying early success having already worked with the likes of Katie Price, and Scarlett Lee of X-Factor fame, and are enthusiastic about supporting and developing the Fareham music scene.
