Going forward
Due to the impacts of reduced Government funding and the long-term effects of the pandemic the council is having to think of new ways to generate income and reduce costs. If we don't do this then our ability to provide the range and quality of services we do currently could be significantly impacted.
There is a balance to be struck between:
- Making small increases to Council Tax
- Lobbying the Government for more funding
- Reviewing service charges
- Reviewing our services in line with the priorities of residents
- Looking at how we work to ensure that we continue to work more efficiently
