We are asking tenants and their relatives how well the Sheltered Housing service meets tenants needs and have been reviewing ways to improve it.
Letters were sent out directly to all existing tenants encouraging them to take part.
Officers also attended tenant coffee mornings at a range of sheltered housing locations to run focus groups and assist with completing the survey if required..

Individual comments have been taken forward with the respective teams - Sheltered Housing team, Grounds maintenance, Planned and Responsive Repairs and the Housing Service. The survey and coffee morning feedback is being fed in to the future planning of sheltered housing in the Borough.
207 people responded to the survey, 193 completed paper copies and 183 attended coffee mornings.
Top among residents concerns were parking and maintenance. There were concerns about public transport and access to amenities but overall residents said they liked the location of their home, the fact it was friendly and the feeling of safety and security they felt.
