When and where is the Fareham's Big Weekend event in Fareham?
Fareham's Big Weekend event will take place on Saturday 4th July from 10am-4pm and Sunday 5th July from 10am-4pm.
It will be held across Fareham Town with the main areas being Bath Lane Recreation Grounds, the pedestrianised area of West Street, Fareham Shopping Centre, Civic Gardens, Westbury Manor Garden and Fareham Leisure Centre and the surrounding areas.

What will there be to do?
There is a huge range of activities across the weekend including:
- Free children's activities
- Walkabout performers
- Performances under the bandstand
- Fun fair and inflatables
- Food and drink stalls
- Artisan market
- Drop-in workshops
- Cricket matches
- Free bookable sessions at Fareham Leisure Centre
- Story time and activities at Fareham Libray
- Lawn games
- Local business offers and activities

Do I need a ticket?
No, this is a free event.
There are lots of free children's activities including circus skills, magic show, kids entertainer, bubble workshop and shows, arts and crafts and more!
There will be a small fee for funfair rides and inflatables.
Activities at Fareham Leisure Centre are free but some must be booked in advance and can be booked 2 weeks in advance. You can book online, on your app or by calling Fareham Leisure Centre. 
How do I get around the event space?

All of the locations included in the event activities are easy to get to by foot. There will be event signage up around the town and volunteer event marshals to help direct you.
How do I book a stall or food concession?
If you are a food concession or stall holder and would like to come to the event, please visit Funyard Events, who are organising the stalls - Funyard Events
Travelling to Fareham
We encourage car sharing or using public transport where possible.
By Bus:
Fareham Bus Station is situated by Market Quay car park.
From Gosport: Use First Bus service E1, E2, X5, 9, 9A or 11
From Portsmouth: Use First Bus service 3 or X4
From Whiteley: Use First Bus service 28 or 28A
From Southampton: Use First Bus service X4 or X5
By Train:
Fareham train station is a 10 minute walk to the event location.
By Bike:
Fareham Town Centre is surrounded by the National Cycle Network. Bike racks are available in the pedestrianised area and by Fareham Bus Station.
By Car:
Car parks are expected to be very busy.
Fareham Town Centre has a number of car parks. Please see our parking in Fareham Town Centre webpage for more details.
Please note that there is no parking at Bath Lane Recreation Ground.
Shopmobility
The Fareham Shopmobility service provides mobility scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs to people with limited mobility. Shopmobility is located inside Fareham Shopping Centre, opposite Millets.
Shopmobility will be open for the Fareham's Big Weekend event, but mobility aids must be booked in advance. For more information about using the Shopmobility service please visit their website .
Are there public toilets?
There are several public toilets around the town centre.
Fareham Shopping Centre toilets
You can find these at the back of the centre, near New Look.
There are also toilets inside Fareham Shopping Centre, located in West Passage.
Market Quay Shopping Centre toilets
These are to the back of Subway in a building adjoining the First travel Shop.
Will photos and video be taken at the event?
Council Officers will be taking photos and video at this event which will be used to promote the event. Officers will be easily identified in hi-vis. Please let them know if you do not want your photo taken.
Where filming and/or photography will be taking place, clear signage will be on display.
There may also be photographers from the press in attendance.
How do I keep up to date with the event?
In the unlikely circumstance that something should change with the event e.g. bad weather, messages will be posted on the Council's social media pages and on the website.
