Fareham's Big Weekend event will take place on Saturday 12th July from 10am-6pm and Sunday 13th July from 10am-4pm.
It will be held across Fareham Town with the main areas being Bath Lane Recreation Grounds, the pedestrianised area of West Street, Fareham Shopping Centre, Civic Gardens, Westbury Manor Garden and Fareham Leisure Centre and the surrounding areas.

There is a huge range of activities across the weekend including:
No, this is a free event.
There are lots of free children's activities including circus skills, magic show, kids entertainer, face painting, cupcake decorating, arts and crafts and more!
There will be a small fee for funfair rides and inflatables.
Activities at Fareham Leisure Centre are free but some must be booked in advance and can be boooked 2 weeks in advance. You can book online, on your app or by calling Fareham Leisure Centre.

All of the locations included in the event activities are easy to get to by foot. There will be event signage up around the town and volunteer event marshals to help direct you.

We encourage car sharing or using public transport where possible.
Fareham Bus Station is situated by Market Quay car park.
From Gosport: Use First Bus service E1, E2, X5, 9, 9A or 11
From Portsmouth: Use First Bus service 3 or X4
From Whiteley: Use First Bus service 28 or 28A
From Southampton: Use First Bus service X4 or X5
Fareham train station is a 10 minute walk to the event location.
Fareham Town Centre is surrounded by the National Cycle Network. Bike racks are available in the pedestrianised area and by Fareham Bus Station.
Car parks are expected to be very busy.
Fareham Town Centre has a number of car parks. Please see our parking in Fareham Town Centre webpage for more details.
Please note that there is no parking at Bath Lane Recreation Ground.
The Fareham Shopmobility service provides mobility scooters, electric and manual wheelchairs to people with limited mobility. Shopmobility is located inside Fareham Shopping Centre, opposite Millets.
Shopmobility will be open for the Fareham's Big Weekend event, but mobility aids must be booked in advance. For more information about using the Shopmobility service please visit their website.
There are several public toilets around the town centre.
You can find these at the back of the centre, near New Look.
There are also toilets inside Fareham Shopping Centre, located in West Passage.
These are to the back of Poundland in a building adjoining the First travel Shop.
Council Officers will be taking photos and video at this event which will be used to promote the event. Officers will be easily identified in hi-vis. Please let them know if you do not want your photo taken.
Where filming and/or photography will be taking place, clear signage will be on display.
There may also be photographers from the press in attendance.
