Christmas in Fareham 2023

Christmas lights switch on 2023Saturday 18th November 10am - 7pm on West Street, Fareham Town Centre

Come along to Fareham Borough Council's Christmas Lights Switch On event in West Street Fareham on Saturday 18 November.

This FREE family-friendly event is a firm favourite in the Council events calendar with thousands of Fareham residents coming along to the pedestrianised area of West Street to join in with face painting, fun fair rides, festive gift stalls, delicious food and drink and activities all day between 10am and 7pm.

There will be performers throughout the day, both on the main stage and entertaining the crowds along West Street.

Father Christmas would not miss this event and the Christmas lights will be switched on at 5.30pm by the winner of the Council's summer colouring competition, supported by the Mayor of Fareham, Cllr Fred Birkett and Mayoress Lisa Birkett.

The day's festivities will finish in a flourish of gold, with the spectacular finale show which is not to be missed.

There will be a small charge for the fun fair rides, but all other activities on the day will be free of charge. The day's events are once again supporting the 'Live Love Local' message, encouraging people to shop local and help support Fareham's range of independent businesses.

Check back here soon for more details over the coming months.
