This year Fareham Borough Council's Countryside Service are running a range of events including a series of guided walks on natural history and our popular willow craft workshops.

Willow obelisk – Make a beautiful obelisk for your garden

Thursday 8 May, 10am-2pm at United Reformed Church, Fareham

Anson Grove & Portchester Common - Butterfly & Wildflower Walk

Friday 13th June, 10am -12.30pm

Join our ranger team looking at butterflies and wildflowers which occur at Anson Grove & Portchester Common which is a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI). Both sites have a rich flora and fauna.

Owing to the topography there are a few relatively steep slopes to negotiate, so please bear this in mind before booking. Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted on this walk.

Parking: side street parking is available on Anson Grove
Meet point: entrance steps to Anson Grove open space (opposite the Anson Grove T junction)

Great & Little Posbrook Farm – Natural History Walk

Thursday 3rd July, 10am – 1.30pm

A circular route on the western margins of the River Meon (approx.3 miles). A variety of habitats and wildlife can be encountered on this important section of the Meon. Please bring suitable footwear and refreshments. Please note that only assistance dogs are permitted on this walk.
