Press Release

15 June 2023

Sign up to Access All Areas for a summer of fun

Young people in Fareham have the chance to try activities such as scuba diving, paddleboarding, rock climbing and more through the Access All Areas scheme taking place during the summer holidays this year.

Fareham Borough Council works with a number of fantastic local organisations to arrange a variety of activities for the scheme, including motorcycling, karaoke party and sailing. Youngsters aged 11 to 16, who live or go to school in the Borough can be signed up from Monday 19 June. Parents or guardians must book early to avoid disappointment, as spaces will be limited.

Young people can take part in three different activities throughout August for a one-off fee of £10 (including VAT) which will cover all their sessions. Spaces will be offered on a first come, first served basis and must be booked online by Friday 14 July. There will be some limited free spaces available for which referrals can be taken through social workers, youth workers and schools. They will need to contact the Leisure and Community Team by telephone or email.

Executive Member for Leisure and Community at Fareham Borough Council, Cllr Sue Walker, said:

“I am delighted that Access All Areas is returning this summer. Thanks to the support of local organisations, young people will be able to enjoy a variety of exciting activities in a safe environment. I recommend that parents and guardians book early, as places on this popular scheme will fill up quickly.”

Details of the events and instructions on how to book are available online at www.fareham.gov.uk/aaa.

If you have any questions about Access All Areas, please contact the Leisure and Community Team on 01329 236100 or email leisure@fareham.gov.uk.
