The Friends of Fareham Museum

Our aims

Originally formed to press for a museum in Fareham, the Friends are keen to promote interest in Westbury Manor Museum and its services as the local cultural centre, and to support and assist the curator in every possible way.

Our activities

The most important function of the Friends is to act as a liaison group between people in the Borough and the staff of Hampshire County Council Museums Service. We also:

The Friends are active members of the British Association of the Friends of Museums, from whom we seek help and advice. It also means we can keep in touch with national trends. If you would like to join, please contact one of the museum staff.
