Residents survey 2011

As part of our 2011 residents' survey, we asked questions about housing opportunities within the Borough. The key findings PDF (169 KB) suggest that most respondents do not think that there are enough opportunities for young people or for young families to buy or rent a home locally, although a majority thought there were enough for older people. A large majority thought that we should do more to provide new affordable homes for local people. These findings, together with features of new homes that people consider most important, will help us to plan the policy approach we will take in shaping the new community. The survey was distributed to a sample of 4020 households in the Borough (268 in each ward) and 1318 responses were received, a response rate of 33%. You can see the full results PDF (295 KB).
