This is your opportunity to make a positive contribution to the Partnership's management team, applying your extensive experience to championing and furthering the development of our established and successful partnership. In this senior role, you'll promote and market our standards and values to generate new business, while also developing relationships with a wide variety of customers and partners. You'll also be hands on, managing an area team and applying Building Regulations on major projects from initial enquiry to completion and providing high level technical guidance and advice.
With an established career in Building Control, of degree calibre and a full member of RICS, MABE or equivalent, you're ready to take this next step up. Your excellent people skills include managing and developing a team, an understanding of the importance of good customer service, and lots of initiative and enthusiasm. Along with good ICT skills and a full, valid driving licence, you'll also have a flexible approach to working hours.

This is an exciting opportunity to join us, working on a range of major projects from initial enquiry to completion. As well as mentoring and guiding District and assistant surveyors and support staff, you'll also be hands on in applying Building Regulations and public safety legislation. That will include carrying out site inspections, maintaining records of work in progress and working in partnership with the public, architects, designers and builders. You'll also work collaboratively with other area teams to further the success of our established partnership, and champion and market services that are built around the needs of customers.
As well as holding a BSc Building Surveying degree and being a full member of RICS, MABE or equivalent, you'll have solid experience of larger projects and a comprehensive knowledge of Building Control legislation. Just as important is an understanding of the importance of delivering excellent customer service. You'll also share our dedication to providing consistently high quality in everything we do by bringing a collaborative approach, great people skills and working proactively on your own initiative. Good ICT skills, a full, valid driving license and a flexible approach to working hours are also essential.
Salary up to £41,173 per annum (including incentive payments)

Guided and supported by experienced senior colleagues, you'll join a small team managing domestic and minor commercial projects. It's a role that provides excellent opportunities to learn, ongoing development and supported training to achieve your professional qualifications. Processing cases from initial enquiries to completion, you'll apply Building Regulations, carry out site inspections and record work in progress. You'll also liaise with a wide range of customers, including members of the public and building professionals, as well as support and collaborate with your colleagues to ensure consistent high quality technical guidance, advice and services. Overall, you'll be passionate about the services we provide and keen to champion customer-focused service provision.
You'll have a relevant construction industry qualification, whether a degree, ONC or HNC. So you'll also have a good understanding and experience of the industry, Building Control legislation and excellent ICT skills. Just as important are excellent people skills and a commitment to delivering consistently high quality service to our customers. You'll also have lots of initiative, and be eager to develop professionally and to achieve further professional qualifications. A full, valid driving licence and a flexible approach to working hours are also essential.
