White Hart History

Why is it called White Hart?

White Hart in Portchester takes it name from the road that connects with Castle Street  -  and Cranleigh Road,  near Wicor Primary School  which  lies just outside further west.

When was it developed?

The street layouts suggest that it was mostly developed as part of a planned post war expansion around Portchester Community School and Portchester Community Centre sites, which are both centrally located within the neighbourhood.
